Emmanuel Clase to miss 2-3 months with back injury

Emmanuel Clase had an MRI Wednesday that revealed a moderate strain of the teres major muscle in his upper back. He is expected to miss 8-to-12 weeks in recovery. (Mandy Bell on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
This is a major blow for the 21-year-old, who won't even be able to start a throwing program until May. As the most prominent return in the Corey Kluber trade, Clase was intended to fill a high-leverage setup role for the Indians this year. With Clase out, James Karinchak seems to be the logical handcuff to closer Brad Hand.
