Paul Goldschmidt blasts solo shot in Tuesday's win over the Astros

by Brad Camara | Cardinals Correspondent | Tue, Mar 3rd 9:26pm EST

Paul Goldschmidt went 2-for-3 with a solo home run Tuesday's 6-3 Grapefruit League win over the Astros.

Fantasy Impact:

Goldschmidt has now homered twice in his last three spring training games. He was bothered by elbow soreness earlier in the spring. After being limited to designated hitter duties in his first three contests, Goldschmidt has played first base over his last three games and appears to be fully recovered from the elbow injury. The 32-year old slashed .260/346/.476 with 34 homers, 97 RBI, 97 runs and three stolen bases across 680 plate appearances last season. Goldschmidt will look to make it four consecutive seasons of 30-plus home runs in 2020. He is currently sixth among all first baseman in the expert consensus rankings.
