Griffin Canning (elbow) to be shut down for 3-4 weeks

Griffin Canning will be shut down for 3-4 weeks after being given biological injections in his throwing elbow on Friday. (Angels PR on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
The 23-year-old is dealing with "chronic changes" to his UCL as well as acute joint irritation. The hope is that today's injections will settle things down a bit but nothing is a guarantee right now. Canning will certainly miss the beginning of the 2020 season, if not longer.
