Phillies starter Jake Arrieta walked four batters and did not allow a hit or any runs over four innings in Friday's win over the Detroit Tigers.
Fantasy Impact:
Arrieta's overall numbers and underlying metrics have been trending in the wrong direction for several years now, and there is no reason to think that 2020 will be any different. Now 34 years old, the veteran right-hander also dealt with bone spurs in his pitching elbow last season. It is possible that the since-corrected bone spurs contributed to at least last season's poor numbers, but there is little reason for optimism heading into this year.
