Jose Berrios named Twins Opening Day starter

Jose Berrios will officially start Opening Day for the Twins, per manager Rocco Baldelli. (Judd Zulgad on Twitter )

Berrios will be the first Minnesota pitcher since Brad Radke (1995-2005) to make three straight Opening Day starts. He was the Twins ace last year, owning a 14-8 record, 3.68 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 195 strikeouts across 200 1/3 innings. Berrios is currently 23rd among starting pitchers in the expert consensus rankings.
