Fantasy Impact:

Taillon underwent Tommy John surgery in August, and was rehabbing towards a 2020 return. The Pirates ultimately decided to rule him out for 2020 season, even if the year is considerably delayed. This is second time in his career Taillon underwent Tommy John surgery. Pittsburg is being cautious with their former number two overall pick, and he will likely return to the mound in 2021. Taillon is mainly a stash in dynasty leagues and can be avoided in re-draft formats.
