Puig told Ebro that the Marlins were one of the first teams to make him an offer. He added, "I asked for a little more money from Miami because playing in front of Cubans would be tough because they would expect me to go 5-5 every day". However, the 29-year-old also said he has other offers on the table at the moment. At this point Puig will likely wait to sign until Major League Baseball has determined whether or not they're having a season in 2020. He hit 24 homers and stole 19 bases a season ago.
