Carlos Ruiz gets rare spring hit in loss to Rays

Like many of the Phillies players this spring, Carlos Ruiz has struggled at the plate. Ruiz got one of five Phillies' hits on Tuesday, going 1-for-3 with a run scored in a 5-3 loss to the Tampa Bay Rays. Ruiz is hitting .125 in Grapefruit League play.
Fantasy Impact:
Ruiz is penciled in as the starting catcher come Opening Day. He has played 130 or more games only once in his career, so he's likely to see between 110 and 130 games behind the plate this season. While not a top offensive fantasy catcher, Ruiz is steady and should be a decent option in most leagues.
