Fantasy Impact:

Verdugo, who suffered a stress fracture in his back last season, was slated to miss the first month or so of the 2020 season before the coronavirus pandemic interfered. This latest update is certainly encouraging considering that manager Ron Roenicke said a few weeks ago that Verdugo wasn't progressing as quickly as the team had hoped. It's unclear if the young outfielder has been able to resume baseball activities, but there is a pretty good chance he is ready for the 2020 season whenever things get underway. Verdugo was part of the package Boston acquired from the Dodgers in the Mookie Betts trade this past winter.
