Hicks underwent Tommy John surgery on his right elbow in October. He is recovering well from his surgery and is a “legit option” to be the Yankees’ everyday centerfielder in 2020. Hicks will increase his workouts and is expected to be back in the summertime. The 30-year-old slashed .235/.325./.443 with 12 homers, 36 RBI, 41 runs and one stolen bases across 255 plate appearances in 2019.
