Blake Snell says pay cut ‘not worth it’ to play in 2020

Snell voice his displeasure while live steaming on twitch. He does not believe it’s worth playing in 2020, particularly if it involves a reduced salary. “If I’m gonna play I should be getting the money I signed to be getting paid,” said Snell. “ I should now be getting half of what I am getting paid because the season’s cut in half, on top of the 33 percent cut of the half that’s already there.” Snell voiced his concerns about health and safety. It remains to be seen if Snell does play in 2020 when (or if) the MLB season starts. The 27-year-old is fully recovered from a sore left elbow, but with his recent comments, Snell could possibly decline to play in 2020.
