“After we get the contract all buttoned up, I should be signing,” said Crochet. Yeah it’s not completely official, but should be here in a few days.” Crochet was selected 11th overall by the White Sox in the 2020 MLB Draft. He owned a 4.64 ERA and 8.3 percent walk rate across 36 appearances for the Tennessee Volunteers over 132 innings. The 21-year-old has battled shoulder soreness in the past, but has the upside to contribute as a starter or closer in the near future.
