Spencer Torkelson nearing contract with Tigers

Fantasy Impact:
The Arizona State alum was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2020 draft, belting 54 homers in 129 career collegiate games. Henning adds that Torkelson is expected to receive a slightly higher signing bonus than the recommended slot value, which is $8.4 million. The Tigers surprised many by announcing Torkelson as a third baseman. He could make it to the majors within a couple of years if everything goes as planned.
