Josh Naylor could benefit from DH rule

by Steven Boysko | Guardians Correspondent | Thu, Jun 25th 2:23am EDT

Josh Naylor is a prime candidate to benefit from the Padres extra spot in the batting order, according to AJ Cassavell of MLB.com. (Aj Cassavell on MLB.com)

Fantasy Impact:

Naylor had fallen behind Trent Grisham, Wil Myers, and Tommy Pham as the likely fourth outfield in San Diego before the season was shut down in March. But the implementation of the DH in the National League opens up an additional opportunity to get his bat in the lineup. The 23-year-old Naylor struggled in his first taste of Major League action last season, but boasted a .791 OPS in 1,742 AB in minor leagues. It is noteworthy that before his call-up last season, Naylor was on fire at Triple-A El Paso, posting a .314/.389/.547 slash with 10 homers in 223 AB.
