Matt Kemp signs minor-league deal with Rockies

Fantasy Impact:
Kemp is virtually replacing Ian Desmond on Colorado’s roster, who has chosen to sit out the 2020 MLB season. There is no guarantee that Kemp sees significant time with the Rockies this year. The team has a plethora of exciting options to give Desmond’s playing time to, including Sam Hilliard, Garrett Hampson, and Brendan Rodgers. However, it would be a very “Rockies thing to do” to instead give these at bats to Kemp.
