Heston Kjerstad signs contract with Orioles

Fantasy Impact:
Jim Callis of MLB.com reports the contract includes a $5.2 million signing bonus, which is way under the recommended slot value for the No. 2 overall pick. Kjerstad was expected to be a top-10 selection but by taking him second overall the Orioles were able to go "over slot" for some of their later picks. The former Arkansas outfielder has a lot of power for his age but has also been prone to strikeouts.
