Jon Duplantier considered pitching depth option in Arizona

While Merrill Kelly is the most likely candidate to fill Arizona's fifth start slot, Duplantier has been named a leading depth option. He worked as a starter and spring training, and was slated to start for Triple-A Reno had the minor league season progressed as intended.
