Kwang-Hyun Kim will compete with Carlos Martinez for the No.5 spot in the Cardinals' rotation. Manager Mike Shildt said Wednesday that he envisions the Cardinals sticking with a five-man rotation during the 60-game season. (Anne Rogers of MLB.com)

Fantasy Impact:

The Cardinals will stick with a five-man rotation and most likely limit in the innings of starters during the shortened 60-game season. Jack Flaherty, Dakota Hudson, Adam Wainwright and Miles Mikolas currently occupy the top four spots. Kim and Martinez are in a battle for the fifth spot in the rotation. “We’re going to have to somewhat declare it soon, what that looks like, but we want to reserve the first week or so to lay our eyes on guys and see how they recover,” Shildt said. The 31-year-old went 17-6 with a 2.51 ERA and a 8.5 K:9 in Korea last season.
