Trout and his wife are expecting their first child in August. “I don’t want to test positive and bring it back to my wife,” Trout added. “I’ve thought hard about this, and still thinking about this. This is a tough time, a tough situation everyone is in.” Trout has made it clear that he will take paternity leave to be with his wife and child. It is unclear at this time if or how many games Trout would miss during the 2020 season. The three-time American League MVP is currently the second overall player in the latest expert consensus rankings.
