Joe Musgrove (shoulder) ‘feels better now than he did in March’

Joe Musgrove (shoulder) threw a five inning simulated game on Friday. He “feels better now than he did in March.” (Adam Berry on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Musgrove was dealing with a pinched nerve in his right shoulder in March. The delay of the regular season has helped him fully recover from that injury. The 27-year-old surrendered seven earned runs in his last Grapefruit League outing. Musgrove figures be a key part of the Pirates’ rotation and offers fantasy appeal as a late-round flyer in standard leagues. He owned a 4.44 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and a 157:39 K:BB across 31 starts in 2019.
