Tanaka was hit in the head by a line drive off the bat of Gincarlo Stanton during practice. He was down for several minutes and needed assistance off the field. A CT scan came back negative and he was released from the hospital. “I appreciate all the support,” said Tanaka on his personal Twitter account. “I feel a bit now, but I am all good. Going to try to get on the mound ASAP.” Tanaka will have to go through MLB’s concussion protocol before returning to action. He is currently day-to-day.
