Pablo Sandoval healthy according to Gabe Kapler

Pablo Sandoval received a vote of confidence from manger Gabe Kapler Sunday. Kapler expressed that Sandoval is healthy and has shown solid hitting tools so far in camp. (Andrew Baggarly on Twitter)

Kapler on Sandoval's weight: "He's demonstrated he's healthy. That's the most important thing. He's not going to lead off for us. He slugs. He's a good DH candidate. He's got nice soft hands. All those things are present in camp and those are the things we'll be focusing on."

A picture of Sandoval began circulating Saturday, which led some to label him as out-of-shape. Kapler snuffed those comments out Sunday, also noting that Sandoval is a 'good DH candidate' for the Giants in 2020.
