Nelson will undergo back surgery on Tuesday and will miss the rest of the season. He has had trouble staying healthy since his breakout campaign in 2017. Nelson has missed timed due to shoulder and back injuries. The 31-year-old has a $2 million club option for 2021. Nelson owned a (0-2) record with a 6.95 ERA, 1.91 WHIP and a 26:17 K:BB across 22 innings last season.
