Rodriguez has been away from the team and tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday. He will need to produce two negative tests before he is able to join his teammates for summer camp. With Opening Day in three weeks, Rodriguez is danger of missing the opener. He broke out in 2019, owning a (19-6) record along with a 3.81 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 213 strikeouts across 203 1/3 innings in 2019.
