Julio Teheran may not be ready for Opening Day

Manager Joe Maddon said Wednesday that Teheran (undisclosed) may not be ready for the start of the season, even if he reports to camp by this weekend. (Rhett Bollinger on Twitter)

Teheran was placed on the injured list on Wednesday and is awaiting COVID-19 testing results. It is unclear if Teheran himself has experienced symptoms, but he was exposed to family members that did. Teheran likely will have less than two weeks to ramp up for the season, so Maddon's comments are not surprising.
