Wacha has a clear path after Noah Syndergaard was diagnosed with a torn UCL. “I’ve just been preparing to come in an be a starter, and try to eat up as much innings as I can,” said Wacha. The 29-year-old owned a 4.76 ERA, 1.56 WHIP and a 104:55 K:BB across 126 2/3 innings for the Cardinals last season. Wacha doesn’t provide much fantasy upside and is currently 163rd among all starting pitchers in the latest expert consensus rankings.
