Lauer is battling a non-related COVID-19 illness and was placed on the injured list Saturday. He was acquired from the Padres via trade and is competing for one of the Brewers rotation spots. Lauer owned a (8-10) record along with a 4.45 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 138 strikeouts across 149 2/3 innings for the Padres last season.
