Jordan Hicks opts out of 2020 season

Jordan Hicks has decided to opt out of the 2020 season, citing pre-existing health conditions. (St. Louis Cardinals on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Hicks had a chance to grab some saves for the Cardinals as he worked his way back from Tommy John surgery, but has elected to sit this season out. Ryan Helsley appears to be the odds-on favorite to start the season as closer, as Giovanny Gallegos has not yet reported to camp. Look for Hicks to compete for the closer role in 2021.
