An MRI revealed Walker had a strained right groin Monday. He is “day to day,” but there is optimism that Walker will be ready by Opening Day. Walker is expected to be the Diamondbacks starting 1B after slashing .259/.348/.476 with 29 homers, 73 RBI, 86 runs and eight stolen bases across 603 plate appearances. The 29-year-old is currently 17th among all first basemen in the latest expert consensus rankings.
