Frankie Montas announced as opening day starter

Frankie Montas has been named the A's opening day starter. He'll face the Los Angeles Angels in Oakland on Friday, July 24th. (John Hickey on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Montas was in the midst of a breakout season last year before getting slapped with an 80-game suspension for PED use in late June. He notched a 9-2 record with a 2.63 ERA, 1.11 WHIP, and 103 strikeouts over 16 starts (96 innings) in 2019. The A's will round out the rest of their rotation with Sean Manaea, Mike Fiers, Chris Bassitt, and A.J. Puk as they head into the abbreviated 2020 campaign.
