Jon Lester dominates Red to pick up the win Monday

Jon Lester (1-0) allowed no hits and one walk while striking out one in five scoreless innings in Monday's 8-7 win over the Reds. He earned his first win of the season.

Lester was brilliant in Monday's win. He surrendered one walk in the first inning, and then shut down the Reds lineup the rest of night. The 36-year-old threw a total of 76 pitches, 56 for strikes. Lester will look to keep things rolling and can be used as a streamer in Saturday's matchup against the Pirates.
