Miles Mikolas out for the year with elbow issue

Miles Mikolas will have surgery to repair the flexor tendon in his right arm and will miss the rest of the 2020 season. (Anne Rogers on Twitter )
Fantasy Impact:
Mikolas was placed on the injured list earlier Tuesday with a forearm strain, which had been bothering him since Spring Training back in March. The elbow issue apparently wouldn't heal with rest so surgery was the best option for the right-hander. He was scheduled to pitch Wednesday against the Twins so Daniel Ponce de Leon, who had been working in relief this season, will fill in.
