Charlie Morton pitches better in second start

by Brendan Tuma | Braves Correspondent | Thu, Jul 30th 6:22am EDT

Charlie Morton rebounded from an ugly first start of the year to throw five innings of two-run ball while striking out seven on Wednesday against the Braves.

Fantasy Impact:

Morton wasn't at his absolute best in this one but it's a step in the right direction. The only runs he gave up came via a Freddie Freeman homer in the third inning. Of course, it's nice to see Morton striking out more than a batter per inning in this one. He remains a "buy low" right now. Morton's next start is scheduled to come against the Boston Red Sox.
