Tyler Mahle will remain in the Reds rotation and is scheduled to start Sunday against the Tigers. (Cincinnati.com)

Wade Miley (groin) was placed on the IL, Mahle will stick in the Reds rotation. In Mahle’s only start, he allowed two runs on six hits with one walk and four strikeouts in an 8-7 loss to the Cubs. “We’ve seen what he’s capable of, he has the slider that continues to get better and he’s always had the good fastball. We’ll miss Wade, but it’ll also be good to see Tyler,” said Reds manager David Bell. Mahle can be used as a streamer in his next scheduled start Sunday against the Tigers.
