Greg Bird: Rangers purchase contract

1B Greg Bird will have his contract purchased by the Rangers to replace Ronald Guzman, who was optioned on Thursday. (Jeff Wilson on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Guzman was optioned to the Rangers alternate camp and Bird will replace him on the big league roster. The 27-year-old will split time between 1B/DH for the Rangers. Bird slashed .171/.293/.257 with one home run across 35 plate appearances for the Yankees in 2019.
