Braves starter Max Fried allowed just one earned run on three hits and one walk while striking out seven over 6 2/3 innings in Thursday's win over the Tampa Bay Rays.

Fried was excellent on Thursday and is off to a strong start for the Braves, pitching to a 2.31 ERA and striking out 12 over his first 11 2/3 innings. His next start is scheduled to come at home against the Toronto Blue Jays.
