Tommy Kahnle likely headed for Tommy John surgery

by Mike Maher | Yankees Correspondent | Fri, Jul 31st 10:35pm EDT

Yankees reliever Tommy Kahnle is likely headed for Tommy John surgery, according to a report from MLB insider Jon Heyman. He is still being evaluated, but the early belief is that he will need the surgery. (Jon Heyman on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Tommy John surgery would end Kahnle's 2020 season and likely cause him to miss the entire 2021 season. With Aroldis Chapman expected to return to the team soon, the other late-inning duties will likely be split between Zach Britton, Adam Ottavino, and Chad Green in Kahnle's absence.
