by Brad Camara | Reds Correspondent | Sat, Aug 1st 5:45am EDT

Luis Castillo (0-1) surrendered five runs on eight hits and one walk while striking out six across six innings in Friday's 7-2 loss to the Tigers.

Fantasy Impact:

Castillo allowed only one run run through the first four innings before running into trouble. He yielded two runs in the fifth and another pair before exiting in the seventh. The 27-year-old was in a prime spot facing the Tigers twice, but was unable to walk away with a win in either outing. Castillo owns a 4.50 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and a 17:2 K:BB across 12 innings. He will try to pick his first win of the season in Wednesday's away start against the Indians.
