Casey Mize will not make MLB debut on Sunday

Manager Ron Gardenhire seemed to indicate that a Mize promotion was in order on Saturday, but that's not what ended up happening. "That’s not my department," Gardenhire said. "We needed a pitcher for the game, and Daniel Norris is the next guy in line. He’s the one that's been here, done it. Al, we talked about it, and that’s the guy." Still, the No. 1 overall pick from the 2018 draft should be up sooner rather than later.
