Mike Trout placed on restricted list, will join team in Seattle on Tuesday

Angels outfielder Mike Trout's paternity leave expired on Sunday, but with an off day on Monday, the team placed him on the restricted list in order to give him one more day of leave. He is expected to rejoin the team in Seattle on Tuesday. (Jeff Fletcher on Twitter)

It was known that Trout's paternity leave expired on Sunday, but it wasn't clear if he would immediately return to the lineup. Now, we have our answer. Trout is safe to start in weekly formats next week.
