Danny Santana placed on IL with forearm issue

Fantasy Impact:
The issue had been bothering Santana for quite some time as he hadn't appeared in a game since July 28th despite being available to pinch-hit and/or pinch-run. The 29-year old got off to a brutal start this year with a .059/0.59/.118 battling line over 17 AB's. Perhaps the nagging forearm can explain the struggles. It's unclear how long he'll be on the shelf but his absence will give more at-bats to Nick Solak and Scott Heineman, who have both been filling in for him already. Shortstop prospect Anderson Tejeda was recalled in a corresponding move as well.
