Jon Lester allowed one run on four hits and one walk while striking out four across six innings in Sunday's 2-1 victory over the Pirates. He did not factor into the decision.

Lester allowed a solo blast to Kevin Newman in the first inning, but was able to settle down thereafter. He posted his second consecutive strong outing in 2020. Lester owns a (1-0) record along with a 0.82 ERA, 0.55 WHIP and 5:2 K:BB across 11 innings. The 36-year-old's next scheduled start is Friday, away against the Cardinals.
