Fantasy Impact:
Scherzer allowed one run on one hit and one walk while striking out one before exiting. There was some doubt he would make this start, per Jesse Dougherty of the Washington Post. It’s possible whatever Scherzer is dealing with didn’t pop up Wednesday. Scherzer is day-to-day for now, and an update should be provided after the game. Erick Fedde replaced him in the second inning.
