Eric Lauer (0-1) allowed six runs on five hits and three walks while striking out two in Friday's 8-3 loss to the Reds. He picked up his first loss of the year.
Lauer surrendered six runs in the second inning and lasted one more frame before exiting. The Reds offense (zero runs in last 22 innings) was struggling heading into this contest, but found their groove against Lauer in Friday's win. He owns a 9.53 ERA, 1.76 WHIP and 8:4 K:BB across five 2/3 innings. Lauer is currently not scheduled to pitch next week and will most likely shift to the bullpen.
