J.B. Wendelken pitched three innings, had one strikeout and allowed one unearned run while picking up the W during the A's 13-inning victory on Friday night.
Fantasy Impact:
This was the first time Wendelken has thrown for more than one inning this season and he was rewarded with his first win of the year. On the season, he has recorded six strikeouts in five games, boasting an ERA of 0.00 and a WHIP of 1.000. While the reliever's low usage rate offers little to no fantasy value, an outing like Friday night's could give manager Bob Melvin more trust in him, which is something to keep an eye on down the road.
