Giancarlo Stanton leaves game with apparent injury Saturday

Yankees designated hitter Giancarlo Stanton was replaced in the second game of Saturday's doubleheader against the Tampa Bay Rays by Mike Ford. With Rays left-handed pitcher Jalen Beeks on the mound in the sixth inning, Ford pinch-hit for Stanton. Tampa broadcaster Neil Solondz confirmed that Stanton was not ejected from the game. Fantasy Impact:
There has been no confirmation of an injury for Stanton, but it would seem an odd choice to pinch-hit for your designated hitter in the sixth inning of a 5-1 game. We should have an update on his status and any possible injury shortly.
