Jeff Samardzija (shoulder) was placed on the 10-day injured list with a right shoulder impingement. (Sam Francisco Giants on Twitter )
Fantasy Impact:
Samardzija will undergo an MRI to determine the severity of his injury. He has struggled to start the year, owning a 9.88 ERA across 13 2/3 innings. Samardzija will miss at least the next 10 days for now. Andrew Suarez was recalled in a corresponding move.
