Clint Frazier being promoted before Tuesday's game vs. Braves

by Mike Maher | Mon, Aug 10th 11:53am EDT

Yankees outfield prospect Clint Frazier is being called up to the big league squad before Tuesday's matchup against the Atlanta Braves, according to a report from the New York Post's Joel Sherman. With Giancarlo Stanton (hamstring) being placed on the injured list over the weekend, there is an opening on the roster and in the lineup. (Joel Sherman, New York Post)

Fantasy Impact:

Frazier is a former first-round pick and a highly touted prospect who has yet to develop as a regular contributor at the big league level. In 69 games with the Yankees, last season, he batted .267 with 12 home runs. The Yankees still have Brett Gardner, Aaron Hicks, Aaron Judge, and Mike Tauchman in the outfield, so Frazier may be stuck on the short side of a platoon unless he can contribute quickly.
