Giancarlo Stanton diagnosed with Grade 1 hamstring strain

by Mike Maher | Yankees Correspondent | Tue, Aug 11th 10:51am EDT

Yankees outfielder Giancarlo Stanton has been diagnosed with a Grade 1 hamstring strain, according to a report from MLB insider Jon Heyman. This is the least serious grade, and Heyman adds that 3-to-4 weeks is the typical recovery time for such an injury. (Jon Heyman on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

This is the best-case scenario for the Yankees, Stanton, and fantasy owners. There is always the possibility of a setback, but it sounds like Stanton could be back in the lineup in a few weeks if all goes well with his recovery.
