Elvis Andrus looking very good this Spring

by Jonathan Stiles | Mon, Mar 23rd 12:33pm EDT

Early this Spring, Elvis Andrus dealt with some knee soreness, but it looks as though he is back on track. With a hit in Sunday's loss to The Mariners, his line is an excellent .440/.462/1.062 with 0 home runs, 3 RBI and 0 stolen bases.

Fantasy Impact:

Andrus is a speed/average fantasy player and should never be relied upon for home runs and RBI. The fact the he has yet to pick up a stolen base sticks out in his stat line, but The Rangers have likely kept him from running to protect his knee. This Spring he has shown that he can get on base at a high rate and if it continues into the regular season, he will get many chances to use his speed. Andrus and owners alike are hoping that this will be the year he finally breaks out.
